Announcing a New Seminar
Trauma, Ghosts, and Hauntings
This 10-session seminar will provide a comprehensive overview of trauma, from its environmental origins to intrapsychic manifestations and intergenerational transmission. We’ll discuss 3 to 4 papers per session, some classic, mostly contemporary. The readings consist of rich, evocative case studies along with some theoretical papers. The authors include Ghislaine Boulanger, Haydee Faimberg, Selma Fraiberg, Lenore Terr, and Bessel van der Kolk, among others. Each seminar participant may read as much or as little as desired from the reading list for the session. Class time will be allotted to share our own cases as we explore the literature on trauma dynamics and treatment implications.
