Garrett Tanner has a private practice in Austin, Texas where he provides psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. He received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Derner School of Psychology at Adelphi University. He is currently a candidate analyst at The Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis where he also serves as Treasurer of the Board. He has written on many topics including Lacanian psychoanalysis, implications of Foucaldian thought on psychoanalysis, socioeconomic dynamics in therapy sessions, and psychological reactions to Texas firearm laws.
