Austin Psychoanalytic is pleased to offer a mentoring program for mental health clinicians and students from all disciplines interested in advancing their clinical practice and professional development. Mentees are paired with individual mentors with whom they will meet at least once a month during the nine-month program. The focus on mentoring varies, and can include case discussion, theoretical and contextual formulations, starting a private practice, agency practice (individual work and organizational dynamics), and career development.
The program consists of monthly mentor-mentee meetings from January through September, as well as opportunities for program participants to meet together socially in the Fall and Spring. Mentees are encouraged to attend our free monthly meetings and are granted scholarships to our annual conferences, which feature leaders in the field of psychoanalysis.
The mentoring program is free for members of Austin Psychoanalytic. Applications for 2020 are now closed and will re-open in the spring of 2020.
